trade manager jobsI am an upper level manager with trade skills also, when do I get a blue collar job while looking for a job?

I have about 2 1/2 months left of unemployment (if the don't pass the extention). I am usually a production manager, but I have trade skills. When should I start looking for a job in the trades in case I run out of unemployment.
Will I run into problems of being over qualified?
you should start looking now. all markets suck right now! i work for a union electrical contractor and we're dead slow! it may take you a while to find a trade job.

you won't (well shouldn't) be looked at as over qualified because your management doesn't affect your skills ontrade manager jobs the trade job. it might actually help you, try looking for project manager positions in the trade.

best wishes
Try to hold out as long as possible for resume sake! You don't any arbitrary job to mess up your resume track record, if you can help it. But I would have something in my hands before that last unemployment money runs out, whether it's blue collar or white collar-----AS LONG AS IT PAYS A DOLLAR!! Welll, more than a dollar I hope; dollar just rhymed better in my punchline. I don't know if you're married or not, but I know from expertrade manager jobsience to tell you that you will catch pure "T" hell if you let that money run out without getting some kind of income. I'd tried to hold out looking for office jobs since I have a college degree, but me and the "ol lady" kept fussing and raising helll about money, that I grabbed the first thing that said, "You're Hired!" back six years ago. So, hold out another 2 and ONE QUARTER months. Use that last quarter month to grab SOMETHING, big or small.
