carrie underwood guitar playerWho was Carrie Underwood's guitar player at the 2009 Grammy's?

She's a blonde haired female who was totally ripping on the guitar.
Orianthi Panagaris fell from heaven and landed on the stage of the February 2009 Grammys next to Carrie Underwood. She is well known by Steve Vai and Carlos Santana, Prince, Paul Reed Smith of PRS Guitars, and Eric Clapton (CrossRoads Festival). She has played with all of them and more.

After a one-woman effort, Violet Journey, recorded in her native Adelaide - Orianthi wowed the crowds at NAMM. Signed to Geffen, she relocated to Los Angeles to work on her debutcarrie underwood guitar player album with producer Howard Benson (Daughtry), went on tour with Steve Vai and has co-written with him and others.

A video blog and singles are available on myspace.com/orianthi.

Expect to see more of this outstanding female guitarist "who can seriously AV儿劣-whoop" (Carlos Santana)
Orianthi is an artist in her own right and is going out on tour with her band to support the album she just finished with producer Howard Benson (Daughtry). The ladies were able to play together courtesy of Simon Cowell's 19 RECORDINGS and GEFcarrie underwood guitar playerFEN RECORDS.

She was awesome! I wanna know too!
Her name is Orianthi...
Orianthi Panagaris. The chick could totally kick some serious AV儿劣 on the guitar...the energy between her and Carrie was awesome!!

unfortunately Carrie stated today in her blog that it was a one time deal, so I dont think we'll be seeing her with Carrie again any time soon. But she seems to have gained a lot of fans through the performance so maybe we'll see her on her own!
